The Ontario Masonry Training Centre (OMTC) is excited to announce we have once again been funded to run a Brick & Stone Masonry Pre-Apprenticeship program this spring in Mississauga & Ottawa.
The pre-apprenticeship program is funded by the provincial government and includes:

In Ontario, Helmets to Hardhats provides mandatory construction basic safety training at NO COST to all registrants. This training is only for those working in the Province of Ontario.
You will also receive a FREE safety kit which includes safety boots, helmet, vest, gloves, and ear/eye protection.
Basic construction safety training is a MUST to work on any construction site in Ontario. The following courses are delivered in a one-week block:
We will also cover the costs of a Basics of Supervising course for those interested, but this is not mandatory.

This program is developed jointly by the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers/Boilermaker’s National Training Trust Fund, CWB Group and CWB Welding Foundation and is funded through the Employment and Social Development Canada- Union Training and Innovation Program (UTIP).

Helmets to Hardhats (H2H) has been notified that the Ontario Nuclear Industry will be requiring a significant number of skilled trades at Ontario Power Generation (OPG) at Darlington, Pickering generating stations and Bruce Power in Kincardine, Ontario. To apply to this specialized and high security industry, all registrants must have an approved Nuclear Industry Security Clearance Card.
