ALBERTA SKILLED PATHWAY PROGRAM ️
Alberta - based clients:
Under our Skilled Pathway program, you are eligible for a free apprenticeship starter kit and the opportunity to complete mandated safety training. If you want to register for the following courses:
  • ABCS Fall Protection (Instructor-led learning)
  • ABCS Confined Space Entry and Monitor (Instructor-led learning)

    ONLINE EDUCATION UPGRADING
    Registered clients can now enrol in our online education upgrading programs offered through Skillplan’s Learning Hub. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance skills in critical areas like Math, Trade Science, and effective testing strategies. Available in English and French.

    SAFETY TRAINING COURSES
    Starting a skilled trade career in Ontario? Helmets to Hardhats has industry-mandated safety training options available. We can register you in up to four (any combination) courses: Basics of Supervision, Hoisting and Rigging, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Elevated Work Platform, or First Aid. All registrations will automatically include WHMIS and Worker Health and Safety Awareness.Training will occur at one of the following NORCAT locations: Mississauga, Sudbury, Timmins, or Thunder Bay.
    Available in English and French.

    WELDING RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION PROGRAM ️
    The Welding Recruitment and Retention Program is an 8-week course in Hamilton, ON (IBEW Local 105) starting January 13, 2025, aimed at providing a basic understanding of welding safety, SMAW processes, weld types, and ultimately obtaining a CWB welding license. The curriculum includes tool safety, first aid/CPR, metallurgy, electrode selection, process variables, joint design, virtual reality welding, and physical booth welding in preparation for CWB certification testing.

    ENTRY POINTZ: FOUNDATIONS OF ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM
    International Brotherhood of Electrician Workers local 105 in Hamilton will be running Entry Pointz, an introductory course that provides hands-on learning opportunities in the electrical field. This program also includes safety certification training and equipment operator training, which aims to equip participants with the skills and confidence necessary to excel on any work site.
